Walk & Talk

Walking the beautiful South West Coast Path with its breathtaking views, spotting seals or dolphins and having a nice picnic in the great landscaoe, this is our recipe for a relaxed time. Feel the wind and the sun on your skin and learn about Cornwalls wildlife and legends, don't leave your binoculars at home!

Pretty fishing villages are waiting for you as well as mystical monuments; let us show you the original Cornwall and you will be surprised by its variety.

In the evenings we enjoy a Cornish folk evening and try out a quiz night; also the famous Minack Theatre is well worth a visit.

Your accommodation

Hotel:

My friend Chris is a very friendly host who runs the Tremont Hotel in Penzance, 5 minutes away from the sea and town centre. You will feel very comfortable there and be surprised by the wonderful breakfast. The hotel also provides a lounge where you can read or watch TV. Chris will help you have a wonderful stay and is always there for you.

The price for a single room is 34 - 50 GBP / night, depending on the size of your room. A double room is 70 GBP/night, a rich breakfast included. For more information please see: www.tremonthotel.co.uk

Another beautiful bed and breakfast house which I can highly recommend is Keigwin House, next to the Tremont, same standard and prices: www.keigwinhouse.co.uk   Fran, the lovely host, is originally from the Scillys and could give you lots of tips.

Cottage:

For lovely cottages please see www.aspects-holidays.co.uk

Good qualitiy and reasonable prices and a wide range of quirky cottages around Mounts Bay.

Tips:

Please think of bringing a rain jacket and trousers, a small rucksack for the daily meal and good walking boots and a headgear as it can be hot and windy.

Travel information

We recommend flying to Newquay, Exeter, Bristol or London. Newquay is the only airport in Cornwall and is only 45 minutes from here, I can arrange a pick-up from there easily. Bristol is approx. 3½ hrs from here, Exeter 2hrs and London 5½ hrs. From there you can get to Penzance by train.
